Collie Buddz was born Colin Patrick Harper on August 21, 1984 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is the son of a Bermudian father and a Jamaican mother. He moved to Bermuda at the age of two and was raised there. Collie Buddz began his music career in 2004, when he released his first single, "Come Around". The song was an instant hit and was featured on the soundtrack of the movie Step Up 2: The Streets. He followed up with his debut album, Collie Buddz, in 2007.
