At the Australian Open 2009, she was upset by Chan Yung-Jan in the first round of women’s singles. At Wimbledon in 2010, she reached the semifinals of mixed doubles, with Paul Hanley.
She won the title later her opponent, Petra Martić was forced to retire after trailing 4–1 in the final set due to severe cramping in 2012.

She lost in experiences for both tournaments but received a lucky-loser advertisement in Brisbane due to Caroline Wozniacki retreating late.
Hsieh won her first doubles with Peng Shuai in 2014 and reached a high career of world No. 2 in doubles at Doha.
After, she pulled off the biggest victory of her career by defeating the reigning Miami Open 2017 champion and world No. 8, Johanna Konta, in the first round, her first-ever released victory over a top-10 player.
She caused the biggest upset of the contest thus far by defeating the 3rd seed and reigning Wimbledon champion, Garbiñe Muguruza.

After then, Hsieh partnered with Elise Mertens to win the doubles title at Wimbledon 2021, beating Veronika Kudermetova and Elena Vesnina in the final round.
