Top Scots school director sacked after alleged inappropriate behaviour with girl
A director at a Scots school has been dismissed following allegations of inappropriate communication with a pupil.
St Margaret’s School for Girls confirmed the director of music Peter Parfitt had been sacked following a “substantial internal investigation” which found he had committed a serious breach of conduct.
Aberdeen Live reports the independent school is one of the leading institutions in Scotland, and Parfitt has worked at the city centre school since 2007 when he was appointed director of music.
He was also appointed musical director of Aberdeen Bach Choir (ABC) in 2010.
Mr Parfitt previously worked as a teacher in Winchester and held positions as director of music at schools in Hampshire, London and East Sussex.

A statement was issued by St Margaret’s School for Girls on the dismissal of Mr Parfitt.
